Ex-Ghana Midfielder Ends Career After Successful Stint

Formerly with Hertha BSC, AC Milan, and Barcelona

Kevin-Prince Boateng, the former Ghana international midfielder or forward who has played for renowned clubs like Hertha BSC, AC Milan, and Barcelona, has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 35. Boateng, born in Berlin, Germany, made his professional debut with Hertha BSC in 2006 and went on to have a successful career spanning over 16 years.

Throughout his career, Boateng has represented several top clubs across Europe. After leaving Hertha BSC, he played for Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Schalke 04, Eintracht Frankfurt, Fiorentina, Sassuolo, and Barcelona, among others. He has won numerous titles, including the Bundesliga, Serie A, and Copa del Rey.

Boateng also played for the Ghana national team, making 15 appearances and scoring two goals. He represented Ghana at the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups.

In recent years, Boateng has been playing for Hertha BSC, where he made his return in 2021. He has been instrumental in the team's recent success and has helped them avoid relegation. Boateng's last match for Hertha BSC will be on May 27, 2023, against Borussia Dortmund.
